What happens next

GoCardless collects your bank details and sets up the mandate. You will get a confirmation from them, and the first collection is usually about a week later once the mandate is active.

You always know what is coming

Every collection is notified in advance, with the amount and the date, and it only ever matches an invoice you already have. Nothing is taken that you have not been told about first.

Cancelling

You can cancel the mandate with your bank at any time, same as any other Direct Debit. Our own terms are 30 days’ notice either side — see the terms.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

Direct Debits are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee. If an error is ever made in the payment, you are entitled to an immediate refund from your bank.
