Yes. The call costs nothing and the external audit costs nothing. You get to see exactly what a potential customer sees, and where your competition is winning, whether or not you go any further with us.

Is ad spend included in the monthly fee?

No. Your media budget is separate and stays in your own accounts. We agree a figure with you and allocate it on your behalf. We take no commission and add no markup on it, so every pound of budget is spent on media.

Am I tied into a long contract?

No. The retainer runs month to month with 30 days' notice on either side. If we stop earning our fee you should be able to leave, and the roadmap is yours to keep either way.

Can I take the audit and roadmap without the retainer?

Yes. Phase two stands on its own. Plenty of businesses take the roadmap and run it with the team they already have. The retainer is for when you would rather we ran it.

Are you charging me for hours or for output?

Output. There is no timesheet and no hourly rate. You pay one fixed monthly fee for an agreed plan of work, so a busy month and a quiet month cost you the same.

What if the audit says I don't need you?

Then we tell you that. Your worst case is walking away with a free audit and a clear view of what to do next.

Who you would be working with

GilbeyPink is run by Jonny Gilbey from Portsmouth, working with businesses across Hampshire that have grown on word of mouth and run out of road with it.

The company was previously called Marketing4. The reviews further down this site are from that period, under that name, and they are real Google reviews rather than testimonials we wrote.

How we are set up

An account manager holds a maximum of three clients, across non-competing industries.
We work with one business per comp-set. If we already act for a competitor of yours, we will say so and decline.
We hold freelancers and agencies to account on your behalf, and never take a cut of what they charge.
Everything starts with an external audit, so nobody is guessing.

Marketing is a diagnosis before it is a deliverable

Most businesses that come to us do not need more content. They need someone to work out which of the things they are already doing is the one that is broken. That is what the audit is for, and it is why we will not quote for work before we have done one.

Being small is the point

Three clients each means you are never the account nobody has time for. It also means we turn work away, regularly, and we would rather do that than be the agency that quietly grows its retainer every quarter.

We would rather be accountable than impressive

We tie our reporting to the numbers a business owner actually cares about, which means there is nowhere to hide when one of them does not move. The Summit case study is the clearest example of that, because we set the terms against ourselves.
